We are on mission with God here in Paris and across the globe. Locally, we send out Go Teams to engage our community every Monday night. We are also engaged in mission work in the unreached area of Arroyo Seco in Mexico. In years past we have taken mission trips to Costa Rica, Texas, and Virginia.
We strive to equip parents to disciple their children at home by training, resourcing, and encouraging them. We also offer various family growth opportunities throughout the year, including family worship nights and family fun outings.
Deuteronomy 6:6-9 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
Our nursery is available for newborns through 2 year olds during all services. We do everything possible to ensure that your child is safe and well cared for. We teach preschoolers about Christ and His good news and how to live it out as preschoolers. We have great volunteer leadership devoted to keeping things running smoothly for the children & their parents.
Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.
The Gospel Project Curriculum teaches key stories chronologically through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation pointing everything back to Christ. The children get to learn the Bible, have the gospel reinforced, and learn how it all applies to them through story, games, crafts, and more.
After a great meal the youth may play a game or jump right into a discussion based Bible study. We are currently working through The Bible Project. It has 6-10 minute videos that do a quick overview of a book of the Bible. We have been working through each book from Genesis to Revelation getting a good grasp on what's in the Bible and how everything points to the gospel. We discuss how it applies to us today and how we should respond.
For our adults we have a prayer meeting time in the sanctuary that meets from 6:00-6:30. At 6:45 we provide a couple Bible study options. In our Fellowship Hall (downstairs) Pastor Mark, our pastor of Music & Education is leading a video based study by Francis Chan Called Forgotten God .
In the Sanctuary, our senior pastor, Pastor Kyle Sullivan is leading a study called Marks of a Healthy Church.
Our evening worship service begins at 6:30 pm. We are currently working through the Bible chronologically doing an overview of the books of the Bible. We have a praise and worship time, a time for the message, and end with a question and answer time.
One of the key spiritual disciplines of being a disciple of Christ is to be actively growing in your knowledge of the scripture and actively pursuing God and His will through it. The youth learn to do just that by reading a chapter a day, studying it, and journaling about it throughout the week. They meet in small groups Sunday evenings to discuss the reading of the week.
Too often we put off teaching spiritual disciplines until christians are teens or older. With Leaders in Training & Nehemiah kids curriculum, our kids grades 1st-5th are learning how to have a quiet time, share their testimony, and serve God through serving the church and going on mission. Following after Christ's command in Matt 19:14, we are no longer hindering the children, but rather equipping them to be the disciples God has designed them to be. We utilize the "Meeting with Jesus" devotional to help the kids develop the spiritual discipline of quiet time while we also create a complementary curriculum to go with it. The children have ministry opportunities set up throughout the year as well to serve God by serving the community and the church.
Our nursery is available for newborns through 2 year olds during all services. We do everything possible to ensure that your child is safe and well cared for. We teach preschoolers about Christ and His good news and how to live it out as preschoolers. On Sundays we continue the Wednesday evening lesson with different activities to reiterate what they are learning. We have great volunteer leadership devoted to keeping things running smoothly for the children & their parents.
Nothing touches the soul more than music! Especially music that reflects the Glory, Joy and Majesty of our great God and His Son Jesus Christ!
